FACE IT. YOUR TEST REPORTS SUCK

How to provide actionable information within efficient test reports

Most test reports are horrible - or are no longer created. Paul will show how to create short and effective test reports to allow your stakeholders to make important decisions.

Most test reports are horrible. Paul will share his extensive experience and provide you with the tools you need to supercharge your test reports. Do you create a test report that contains actionable information? A test report that allows your stakeholders to immediately know about the status of the system, then this workshop is for you. You have been testing for a while and have been asked to provide a test report. Do you go to your test tracking tool and produce a bunch of pretty charts (that give no real information)? Or, instead, do you create a test report that contains actionable information? A test report that allows your stakeholders to immediately know about the status of the system, including the areas that were tested well, tested lightly or not tested at all. A test report that does not rely upon those pretty charts – and, preferably, does not even contain them? In this workshop, Paul will explain why the charts are not just unhelpful but also potentially dangerous to include in your reports. They will share their extensive experience in changing the expectations of the stakeholders to no longer want the charts but instead to be expecting useful and actionable information in their test reports.
