The individual testing role is evolving. Through that change there is opportunity. This presentation is on how to take advantage of that opportunity.
Roles in testing are evolving. Transitioning to Agile is always tough but it can be even tougher in a project based environment. There are due dates and possibly outside clients to consider. There are external ideas on what testing is that needs to be factored in. Teams may be formed and broken apart on a project by project basis. Timelines are shorter with little time to build on the efficiencies that iterative process allow for. Kate Falanga has worked for years on solving these problems by clearly defining roles and responsibilities, working with sales on how to talk with clients about testing, and internally focused mentoring and training. This talk will review the specific pitfalls of working Agile in this kind of environment and offer potential solutions.
