When the objective is continuous delivery, defining heuristics provides clarity in order to make testing a priority
Sometimes there are complications buying into the necessity of testing. When definitions aren't clear and process is not outlined, it is easy to deprioritize testing. What is it about our process that causes so much remiss? How are other team members viewing our contributions to the team? Likely chance there is a disconnect between quality delivery and the work that we do. Testers are often left to their own devices or isolated in the process. Through defining heuristics and clarifying process team members can be more at ease with the potential addition of time needed for testing. It is then that they realize that we too are technologist, tasked with the collective mission to deliver quality features.
