Understanding the diversity of the testing ecosystem around you to build better quality into your software product.
Most of us work in complex “digital ecosystems” containing humans with a wide range of skills, experience and perspectives, along with physical and software infrastructure. Focus on delivering software frequently works against building in the quality and value that both the business and its customers need. In this workshop, Melissa and Lisa will explain how to evaluate your company’s testing ecosystem, and leverage the information ecology and diversity to help it function better. You’ll learn and practice techniques to assess quality aspects of your application, make testing activities and strategies visible across the company, and focus limited testing resources in the right places. You’ll leave with a toolbox full of ways to map infrastructure such as automation efforts, get other departments involved in assessing and prioritizing quality attributes, mapping interdepartmental dependencies and finding ways to coordinate testing and share learning.
