Kubernetes, an open source orchestration framework for containerized applications, is a great foundation for setting up a cloud native continuous deployment pipeline.
If you have ever wondered how to get started with Kubernetes, this talk is for you. Kubernetes allows you to create, deploy and manage cloud-native applications. However the learning curve to use Kubernetes can be steep. To ease our way into Kubernetes benefits, we start by understanding why container orchestration is worthwhile then we look at how we can make it easier with Jenkins X, an open source project that provides Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) on Kubernetes. It all starts with understanding the basic concepts and seeing how it can help us shift testing to earlier stages of development, simplify team collaboration and speed up delivery.
